The Main Salmon has a moderate drop in elevation and holds a high volume of water. The whitewater is warmer, friendlier, less technical and bigger than the Middle Fork and more frequent and less crowded than the Lower Salmon.

Our trips begin unlike any other outfitter’s, with a private jet boat ride across the river to the Salmon River Lodge nestled between the mountains and the river where your adventure begins.

The morning after your trip orientation and comfortable night at the lodge, it’s time to get on the river. Expect to see bald eagles, big horn sheep—often bears and otters too! Soak in natural hot springs, hike along side creeks to a stunning vista, explore historical sights and Native American history, and enjoy fishing and swimming along white sand beaches.
